7th Town Hall Meeting: Youth Empowerment in Action!

Held on 30th July, 2025 at Evelyn Hone College, the 7th Town Hall Meeting brought together vibrant youth voices, thought leaders, and key stakeholders for an afternoon of powerful dialogue and inspiration.

The event was graced by the Minister of Youth, Sport and Arts, Hon. Elvis C. Nkandu, who was ably represented by the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Kangwa Chileshe. Also in attendance was Permanent Secretary for Arts, Mr. Fumba Chama, whose presence added great value to the occasion.

A range of insightful presentations were delivered by institutions such as the Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC), Lusaka City Council, and Levy Mwanawasa Medical University, tackling crucial topics affecting the youth today such as empowerment and mental health.

⚽ The highlight of the day was a special guest appearance by a former Zambian footballer, Mr. Nchimunya Mweeta, who shared a powerful and heartfelt story of his career journey, urging young people to remain focused and always choose the right path, no matter the circumstances.
